What Past Students of Arkansas School of Court Reporting Have to Say:
"Looking back from where I started, words can hardly express my gratitude and humble pride in my current position attained through the Arkansas School of Court Reporting (ARSCR).
With Sarah at the helm, it has been quite an exciting, fascinating, and though
a little tedious at times, wonderful journey.  Having worked in the securities/banking industry a good number of years, the court reporting career, with all its intricacies and uniqueness, for me was a world of difference. However, I wanted to pursue that world.
Initially, I did some research for reputable court reporting schools that also specialized in training for voice writing careers. I'll honestly say my research generated disappointing results from some other schools; but since I'm not writing a book, I'll just get to the point by saying ARSCR is the best.
Some of the factors that consolidated my decision in attending Arkansas School of Court Reporting were Sarah's clear communication online as to what ARSCR offers: the access and benefit of communicating directly with Sarah, her prompt follow-up with any situation, and her ability to insert positivity that automatically diminishes students' doubt or fear of the unknown. Sarah is a devout professional.
The fundamentals of the course are taught in depth, but Sarah's ability to point out and insert information that can only be had from on-the-job experiences or to provide answers to questions we don't know we need to ask is awesome. The curriculum is great! You'll love it and will feel like you've gotten a well-rounded experience at the end of your course.
With your added effort, at the end of your course you will definitely be ready for both the NVRA certification and the open field that awaits you. Not to mention, though you are confident you can do the job, wherever in the world Sarah's past students are with a question, there's that additional confidence knowing you are just a phone call away from her help.
Finally, I must say, without a doubt, ARSCR is the best path for your choice in your pursuit of a career in Certified Court Reporting or Certified Verbatim Reporting.
Many thanks, Sarah, and Arkansas School of Court Reporting for this mint-like high."

Eugenie Grant Bryan, CCR

"My decision to go to The Arkansas School of Court Reporting was by far one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. The online classes were educational, challenging, motivating, and critical in preparing me for the state exam. The state exam generally has about a 15 to 20 percent pass rate. When I took the test, only two of us were ARSCR students and we both passed! That's 100 percent in my book! I went into the exam completely prepared knowing I had been given all of the information and tools I needed to achieve my goals! Sarah was always there to give me positive feedback to improve in the areas that needed work. I can't say enough about the quality of the school and how their curriculum was right on track in preparing me for the exam as well as being out in the field. Since passing the exam, I've been extremely busy and loving every minute of it! And Sarah is just a phone call away for any questions that I've encountered. I consider Sarah to be a mentor, motivator, and friend. Her wisdom, knowledge, dedication, and can-do attitude sets the bar high. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner! What are you waiting for? Do you want a dream job that is always interesting, flexible, and fun? ARSCR can prepare you to make all of your dreams a reality! They did for me! Thank you, Sarah! You're the best!

Sarah ~ You know I love ya! You have changed my life!"

"After 15 years of working as a paralegal, I was ready to try something different. I researched court reporting and was attracted to the flexibility and job growth of the profession. After contacting Sarah, I enrolled in her online course, which provided me with everything I needed to know to pass the state certification test. The online classes allowed me to work at my own pace around my work schedule and my daughter's schedule. The classes were easy to follow and understand, and I was amazed at how quickly I was able to learn these new skills. I feel fully prepared to embark on my new career as a court reporter. Sarah has always been available to answer every question I have, and I know she will continue to be a great mentor throughout my career."

Kristi Gray, CCR

" I was interested in a new career that would give me many employment opportunities and would not take a long time to study. I began to research court reporting and I decided to enroll in the Arkansas School of Court Reporting. From the beginning of class, I was impressed by Sarah's enthusiasm and how quickly I built up my skills and learned to use my equipment. I was able to work full-time while taking the courses entirely online. I passed the state examination on the first try, and after attending the new reporter orientation, I feel more confident than ever about my choice to study with ARSCR, because virtually all the tips and advice I received in orientation had been given to me by Sarah weeks or months ago! More importantly, I feel like I have a wonderful mentor and cheerleader in Sarah. I know that she will be an invaluable resource as I begin my career.

Jennifer Johnstone, CCR

"I was stuck in a dead-end job with a small child at home. I wanted to further my career but certainly didn't have the time to go back to school full-time. I found Arkansas School of Court Reporting online and signed up. I took my classes online, one night a week. Sarah is a wonderful teacher who is passionate about the field and has extensive experience. She taught us things that you would never find in any textbook. I was fully prepared for the certification exam and passed the first time! Not only was I prepared for the exam, I knew what to expect out in the real world of actual reporting.

I am now working as a certified court reporter for her firm. My hours are flexible and my income is amazing!! And Sarah is still there when I need her and the training has continued on past the course.

For anyone interested in becoming a Certified Court Reporter, this is the course for YOU!! Sarah makes it so easy to learn and you will love coming to class!! I did!!"

Cohen Copeland, CCR

"Last summer (2009), in an effort to improve the quality of my life by changing careers, I entered the Arkansas School of Court Reporting program.

Because I live in north central Arkansas and not in the Little Rock area, it was a huge benefit for me to be able to participate in class from the comfort of home. The last few months of class were all on-line and were very, very well done. I tested in April of 2010 and passed the state certification test on the first try. The group that tested at the same time I did was made up of approximately 15 individuals. Out of the seven passers, six of those seven attended the Arkansas School of Court Reporting with me.

These facts alone are a huge testament to the quality of teaching that is done by the school. It not only prepares students to pass the certification test, but also addresses the real-life issues a reporter faces after certification. I do not believe if I had attempted to become a certified court reporter on my own, or even by attending another school, I would now be ready to begin work in my new career.

Thank you Sarah Flynn and the Arkansas School of Court Reporting!"

Rebecca Burnham, CCR

"Becoming more and more burned out in my stalling career as a legal assistant/paralegal, I decided to look into becoming a court reporter. I began talking to court reporters around town about their careers and learned that it was very lucrative and flexible, which was ideal for me as a single mother.

I contacted Sarah Flynn at Arkansas School of Court Reporting. Sarah's enthusiasm and commitment to excellence in the court reporting field really impressed me. She answered all of my questions and gave me the confidence to move forward and enroll in the school. Her instruction was hands on, personal, and thorough. She gave me all the tools I needed to pass the certification exam.

Thanks to Sarah and Arkansas School of Court Reporting, I passed the certification exam on the first try and I am now a certified court reporter. I highly recommend Arkansas School of Court Reporting to anyone interested in becoming a court reporter."

Robin N. Hudson, CCR

"After working as a paralegal for over 20 years, I decided to pursue another career. While I knew that I wanted to stay working in the legal field, I also knew that to do so would mean that I would have to further my education and/or training, and the thought of going back to school after some 20 plus years was very frightening. But Sarah's enthusiasm, support and love for court reporting not only pours over into her teaching, but is contagious, and made class something that I looked forward to. Now, as my mentor, she still provides that same support and enthusiasm!"

 Ramona Boyce, CCR

"I used to type for court reporters until I realized I could become a court reporter myself. I attended Sarah Flynn's court reporting school and passed the test with flying colors! They have a wonderful program with great training that I would recommend to everyone interested in becoming a court reporter."

 Jo Ellen Agar, CCR

"I had been out of the workforce for a while, raising my children, and wanted to start a new career. I diligently attended class every week and passed the entire test my first time. After only six months of training, I am now doing deposition work with an experienced mentor to help me master my skills and learn the ropes!"

 Sherri Renaud, CCR

"I had been a stay-at-home mom for twenty years. My kids are finally grown and I wanted to start a career. I decided to take Sarah Flynn’s court reporting class. I had only a high school diploma and had been out of school for so long that I was worried about spending the money on the class, not to mention I didn’t know a thing about court reporting. I am so glad that I spent the money on this class!! Sarah made it so easy that I was able to pass the test and get certified as a court reporter.

If you have been thinking about becoming a court reporter, I would definitely recommend getting your training here at Arkansas School of Court Reporting. Eveything you need to know to pass the test is covered in an easy-to-grasp style of teaching. Even though the class is only one day a week, Sarah is always available for questions or advice."

Terri Wolfe, CCR

"After 25 years with the same company, we were threatened with major cutbacks. I decided training in the court reporting field would give me more marketable skills. I found the Arkansas School of Court Reporting online and registered. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Sarah is not only an excellent instructor, but she also cares about her students. She wants each of her students to do well, and she works hard to see that happen. I recommend this course to anyone thinking of becoming a stenomask reporter."

Suzanne Baldwin, CCR

"With ARSCR, I have been able to not only use the basic language skills I already had, but have also learned a new career in less than a year and tripled my monthly income in four months.

I now have the opportunity to support myself lucratively as well as set my own schedule, meet interesting people, and travel the state fulfilling a 30-year dream of a professional career.

All of this is due to the excellent materials, training and real-life experience of internship provided by the Arkansas School of Court Reporting."

Donna Verser, CCR

"I was one of Sarah's first students. Taking her class was a very interesting, hands-on training experience. It consisted of audio drills, grammar, and vocabulary terms. Her teaching style is very down to earth and easy to understand. After only six months of her training, one night a week, I was fully prepared for the extremely challenging test and passed the first time I took it.

But just as important as all the training for the test, she has also been a great mentor for me after the test and throughout my reporting career. There are so many questions and new situations that come up when court reporting, and she has been there to help and guide me and answer any questions that I have in a very timely manner.

I would highly recommend her training to anyone interested in becoming a stenomask reporter."
